Teacher training - midway point

TINFA has reached the midway point of teacher training for the year, each teacher having received over 25 hours of technical learning. This year we’re serving 12 schools and 64 teachers (directors of some of these schools are in the program too)!  We are in our fifth session of training and participation is very high. Because electricity, WiFi and equipment was in place before the start of the training, teachers have been able to immediately apply what they’ve learned during the training in their classroom.

A major training event is approaching – model classes* in front of peers. Teachers will prepare lessons using the skills they’ve gained, and conduct a class in front of their grade teacher peers acting as students. All teachers are gaining confidence and effectively using technology, with many advanced participants.

Teachers, administrators and students continue to show strong enthusiasm for TINFA programming, and we’re honored to have the opportunity to make technology and information more accessible to these schools thanks to the generosity of our supporters.

* These virtual practice sessions are an important part of training and the success of our program. If you or someone you know may be interested in observing as a virtual attendee, please reach out to TINFA for more information.
