School has started in Guatemala, and the teachers are energized to incorporate technology into their lessons. We have heard from several teachers about their excitement, but want to share 2 particular wonderful statements.
Teacher Abdias Natanahel Chaj welcomed his 4th grade students to school Xeaj on Monday Feb. 19th. Thanks to your support, he got a computer for his classroom and participated in a full day of technical training before class started. At the end of the training teacher Abdias said: "I am quite emotional, because this year, I have a brand new computer, and with today's training, I feel that I am well prepared to welcome my students in the classroom. This is going to be a very exciting start of school".
Teacher Abdias will receive another 42h of technical and pedagogical training in the next 5 months, to give him the skills and the motivation to be the best teacher he can, with his 4th grade students.
Professor Jorge also sent a photo and a message saying: “Thank you very much for the tools. I used Worldwall and the kids marveled. They were so interested that they didn't want to go out to recess. Thank you and TINFA for your support and guidance.” The equipment was donated to the school and the computer was bought in partnership with the teacher and TINFA.
We are looking forward to a great school year ahead!
