What a treat to celebrate the achievements of all 58 teachers, from 12 schools in the Cantel and Olintepeque districts of Quetzaltenango in Guatemala! All school directors and members of the ministry of education were also there to celebrate the teachers’ achievements.

Harshika (TINFA board member) had these words for the teachers: "Congratulations! We are so excited to be celebrating this milestone with you today. You, our teachers, are the bedrock of TINFA... We are awed by your resilience in pushing through numerous challenges to continue your learning journey and being models of inspiration for all the students and all of us. Your commitment and enthusiasm make it possible to fulfill TINFA's vision of giving all children opportunities to discover and pursue their dreams."

6 teachers and 2 schools were given achievement awards for best attendance, best results and the best improvement.

Teacher Silvia Florinda Yax Sacché from school San Isidro (a recipient of the advanced level award) talked on behalf of the teachers, about how the program has helped her. She particularly appreciated the patience and the practicality of the training. She talked about the way she learnt to edit videos, how easy it was to put into practice and so useful in her classroom with her students.
