Communication and Fundraising consultant

TINFA is looking for a communication and fundraising consultant for a 3-month renewable project. The expected number of hours is up to the consultant, but the position is designed to be part time, working remotely, with one day of fixed hours. (Wednesday 9 to 5pm)

The consultant will be responsible for defining and running the communication and fundraising functions of the organization, including maintaining existing initiatives, creating a communication and fundraising plan for the year, executing on this plan in alignment with the organization overall strategy and approved budget. The consultant will work directly with the Executive Director, the Board of Directors and Event committee.

The specific deliverables are :

  • Communication and fundraising execution for currently planned initiatives. (Director Circle in Aug, Dinner in Sept/Oct)

  • Creation of a communication and fundraising strategic plan for the next 12 months, to be presented to the board in September and approved in October.

  • Nimble execution of all aspects of the plan, updating it as necessary, and coordinating with all involved.

Compensation:

$8,000 for 3 months, renewable

Qualifications:

• Commitment and deep understanding of TINFA’s mission

• Proven defining and executing of communication plans

• Proven experience defining and executing strategic fundraising plans including advancement initiatives, with results

• Experience defining new prospect segments with tangible results in building these segments

• Excellent writing skills, with the ability to tell a compelling story

• Experience in CRM systems

• Experience with Website editing

• Experience with Marketing tools

• Goal oriented and flexible

• Highly organized and detail-oriented

• Demonstrated initiative, and ability to work independently.

The ideal candidate will also have:

• Proficiency in Little Greenlight.

• Proficiency with Mailchimp

• Experience with MS Team and the MS Office suites

• Basic level of Spanish
